Oman is known for its popular tourist attractions. Wadi’s deserts, beaches, and mountains are areas which make Oman unique to its neighboring GCC nations (Wadis in particular). Jebel Shams is Oman’s tallest mountain, highest point, and is a popular destination for camping. Most of the major malls are located in Muscat, the capital. The largest mall in the country is the Muscat City Centre which was built by Majid Futtaim, an Emirati business man.

Day 01 Arrive Muscat By Flight
Arrive at Muscat international airport and transfer to hotel. Start your Half-Day Muscat City Tour from the Sultan Qaboos Mosque-Grand Mosque, the 5th biggest Mosque in the world please consider the dress code. The Mosque is open from 0800 HRS till 1100 HRS except Friday. Pass the embassy quarter and enjoy a guided tour through the beautiful Royal Opera House tour services are just available if there is no rehearsal on stage. Visit the Bait Al Baranda Museum. After this you drive along the corniche to Muttrah Souk, the oldest souk in Oman. Continue to Al Alam Palace, which is flanked by two Portuguese Forts, Al Mirani and Al Jalali. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 Muscat–Amouage-Birkat Al Mauz-Jebel Akhdar (165 kms / 2H appx.)
After breakfast, Proceed to leave the capital visit the Amouage factory. Discover the different incenses and get to know more about how one of the most expensive perfumes of the world is produced. From there you leave to the Hajjar mountains. Stop in Birkat al Mauz, a beautiful small village, surrounded by date and banana trees. From there you drive up to around 2000 m above sea level. Enjoy the beauty of Jebel Akhdar, which means green mountain, before you check in at your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03 Jebel Akhdar-Nizwa–Bahla-Jabreen (08 kms / 1H 50M appx.)
After breakfast, Proceed to the fort of the old capital and learn more about its interesting history. Leave Nizwa and continue to Bahla, a mystic city with one of the four UNESCO world heritage sites in Oman, Bahla Fort where you have the possibility to walk around the old village and for a photo stop. Last sight of the day is Jabreen castle. Known as the most beautiful castle in Oman you should not miss to visit the fort from inside, listening to the story of its builder Immam Bil’arub bin Sultan and his tragic history. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04 Jabreen-Misfat Al Abryeen-Wadi Bani Awf (252 kms/ 3H 45M appx.)
After breakfast, Proceed to leave the city and drive to Asyla, heading along white, sandy beaches with mesmerizing views of the Indian Ocean. After a photo stop in Gaheid be ready for an unique desert experience. You will cross the Sharqiyah Sands, enjoying its beautiful dunes and peaceful atmosphere. One of the most important things in a bedouins life is to be hospitable so we will stop by at one of their houses where we will enjoy a authentic home cooked Omani lunch and will get to know how it is to still live in the desert. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05 Wadi Bani-Nakhl–Wakan – Mussanah (233 kms / 3H 41M appx.)
After breakfast, Proceed to unique adventure will bring you to the Bathina region, one of the most interesting but still undiscovered areas in Oman. First of all you will discover Wadi Abiyad. Depending on the water level you will do some wadi bashing or even be able to have a bath or just have a walk in that area. From there you will continue to one of the oldest settlements in this area. Nakhl has an impressive fort, built on a 60m high mountain. While your guide will show you around the different areas of the fort you will have a small glimpse of how the Omanis used to live. Drive through the old part of Nakhl, where mud houses are surrounded by gardens and reach Ain Thowarah, the hot spring system of Nahkl. In the early afternoon you will leave the city and proceed to the Hajjar mountains. A small village called Wakan, where locals still living the traditional Omani way, invites you to walk through its fruitful gardens to enjoy unique views over the mountain area. After the walk you will return to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 06 Mussanah – Muscat By Road 108 kms / 1H 15M appx.
Depart Muscat By Flight
Departure transfer to Muscat airport for flight to onward destination.
