Zimbabwe’s largest wildlife sanctuary is Hwange National Park, situated on the western border with Botswana. Hwange is home to one of Africa’s largest elephant populations and myriad other species. Other excellent game viewing areas are Matusadona, Mana Pools and Zambezi National Parks.

Day 01 Arrive Harare
On Arrival, meet assist and transfer to Lodge. Rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay at Jacana Gardens Guest Lodge.
Harare (before 1982 known as Salisbury) is the largest city and capital of Zimbabwe. It is a modern, buzzing city where skyscrapers vie for the uptown landscape. There are 1.6 million inhabitants and the city is a trade centre for tobacco, maize, cotton, and citrus fruits.

Day 02 Harare – Great Zimbabwe (By Road) (323 kms / 4H appx.)
After Breakfast Transfer to your accommodation in Great Zimbabwe area. Transfer to Resort. Afternoon free to explore the enigmatic ruins of Great Zimbabwe. Rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay at Norma Jeans Resort.
Great Zimbabwe was the Iron Age capital of the Kingdom of Zimbabwe, built and inhabited from the 12th to the 15th centuries by the Karanga tribe, descendants of the Shona. The king had his royal palace here.

Day 03 Great Zimbabwe – Matopos Hills (By Road) (339 kms / 4H 25M appx.)
After Breakfast Transfer to your lodge in the middle of hills. Transfer to Lodge. Afternoon to explore the area. Rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay at Big Cave Camp.
Matopos Hills, The fantastic shapes and deep valleys of the Matopos Hills were formed by river erosion over 2000 million years ago. The granite was forced to the surface, and eroded to produce smooth surfaces among broken hills, strewn with boulders and interspersed with chunks of vegetation. This landscape led to its name, “Matopos Hills”, meaning “Bald Heads” in Ndebele.
Matobo National Park is one of Zimbabwe’s prime wildlife sanctuaries. In addition to the black and white rhinoceros, the Matobo National Park provides a home to a variety of antelope species (kudu, sable, eland) leopard, baboon, lizard, and a plethora of birdlife, including the highest concentrations of black eagle in the world.

Day 04 Matopos Hills
After Breakfast Transfer to the camp and rhino tracking with a ranger. Transfer to Lodge. Afternoon for a nature drive with your vehicle in to the park. Rest of the day free for leisure. Overnight stay at Big Cave Camp.

Day 05 Matopos Hills – Hwange National Park (By Road) (317 kms / 4H appx.)
After Breakfast Transfer to your lodge outside the national park. Transfer to Lodge. Afternoon free for your first game drive into the park. Overnight stay at Miombo Safari Lodge in standard chalet.
Hwange is the largest National Park in Zimbabwe, and one of the most important natural sanctuaries for wildlife in Southern Africa. Situated on the main road between Bulawayo and the world famous Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park boasts a tremendous selection of wildlife and over 100 species of birds.

Day 06 Hwange National Park
After Breakfast Transfer to morning spent on safari with your vehicle into the park. Return at the lodge or you can spend the whole day on game viewing. Overnight stay at Miombo Safari Lodge in standard chalet.

Day 07 Hwange National Park – Victoria Falls (120 kms / 1H 35M appx.)
After Breakfast Transfer to the Victoria Falls. Transfer to Lodge. Afternoon at you leisure for a free tour of the Falls. Overnight stay at Lokuthula Lodge.

Victoria Falls, No doubt about it, Mosi-au-tunya (meaning “The Smoke which Thunders”) — but more commonly known as Victoria Falls — is one of the most amazing sights in the world. The Falls are twice as tall as Niagara Falls, and several times longer. Although not the highest, widest or greatest volume of water, they have the largest sheet of water for any fall in the world, and are a sight not to be missed.

Day 08 Victoria Falls
After Breakfast Transfer to served at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. End of rental and drop off at office in town. Day free to participate to the various activity proposed in town.
Suggestion: helicopter flight 15 min over the Falls and Gorges – 150 USD + 16 USD Lunch at your own. Late afternoon transfer to the river bank for an unforgettable dining cruise on the river.

Day 09 Depart Victoria Falls
Departure transfer to onward destination.

– Small deviations in the tour program are sometimes necessary, depending on weather, road conditions, flight schedules and room availability.
– In case the government changes presently applicable taxes, increase in airlines prices, fuel surcharge our rates will need to be adjusted accordingly.
– In Asia, there is no relevance between the distance and time of travelling, as it depends upon the condition of the roads and congestion of the traffic.
– While every effort will be made to maintain the itinerary, in view of local strikes etc that are beyond our control all schedule and itineraries are subject to last moment changes.
– Clients must be fully insured, as the company cannot accept liability for loss or damage to client’s property, medical emergencies or any other loss suffered by them whilst on tour.
